Oslo - In Search of the Northern Lights Tromsø – Oslo – 7 days

Day 1 OSLO
Arrive Gardermoen Airport.

Overnight and breakfast at Thon Hotel Opera or similar - OSLO.
Day 2 OSLO – OSLO ALL INCLUSIVE SIGHTSEEING
Breakfast at the hotel.
10:30 Five-hour sightseeing tour by bus to several of Oslo's biggest attractions and museums.
The tour starts in downtown Oslo before continuing with a walking tour in Vigeland Sculpture Park
and a photo stop at the Holmenkollen Ski Jump. You then visit Bygdøy, where you tour the Norwegian
Folk Museum and have a choice between the Fram Museum and the Kon-Tiki Museum. The bus then takes
you back to City Hall.
Museum entry is included in your ticket. Lunch is not included.
Start time: 10:30 / End time: 14:30
Start location: Kronprinsesse Märthas plass (by the Western Tower of the City Hall)
Language: English (Live) and audioguides on the coach in: German, French, Spanish, Italian,
Russian, Danish and Norwegian.

Day 3 OSLO – TROMSØ
Breakfast at the hotel.

Arrive Tromsø – The Arctic North!
*Taxi transfer from the airport to the hotel. (Supplement, not included) Check in for overnight and
breakfast at Scandic Ishavshotell or similar.
“Active under the Northern Lights”; Tromsø is right in the middle of the planet’s Northern
lights belt, and any flare of solar storms on the surface of the sun will be spotted here! Evening
activities help you to be outside when the Aurora Borealis light up the night sky! Daytime
excursions are good for enjoying the breath-taking landscapes!
18.45 Go hunting for the beautiful Northern Light. The Northern Lights chase is an excursion with
the main purpose of watching the Northern Lights - Aurora Borealis. We start from your hotel and
start the chasing by minibus. We try to find stable dry weather with clear sky. The patient Aurora
watcher will have excellent chances of spotting the light as we go to an uninhabited area where no
artificial light will disturb your experience or your attempt to capture the Aurora Borealis on
photo. The guide will focus on sharing tips and techniques on how to photograph the lights; we also
bring extra tripods with us. During the tour you will be served a hot meal and enjoy the magic by
the open fire.
Remember to bring your camera! Duration: 5-7 hours.
Day 4 TROMSØ VILLMARKSSENTER & LYNGSFJORD ADVENTURE
Breakfast at the hotel.
10.00 Pick up by Tromsø Villmarkssenter for your dogsled experience! Duration: 4 hrs.
Time for a short break before you’ll continue to Lyngsfjord for more Northern Light
hunting, snowmobile and reindeer excursion!
16:50 Pick up by Lyngsfjord Adventure – transfer from city centre to Lyngsfjord for your overnight
stay and Northern Light activities!
After a thorough safety introduction, it is time to go snowmobile at night. If we are lucky perhaps
the Northern Light will show itself to us!
Exciting overnight in your choice of accommodation: Sami tent, Wilderness cabin or Aurora Chalet.
Day 5 LYNGSFJORD Adventure – Reindeer sledding - Tromsø
Breakfast before your reindeer sledding excursion!
10.15 Reindeer sledding is the oldest form of transport in the north, and an ancient part of Sami
Culture. You will be driving in pairs, with one sled for each reindeer. Also, you will learn about
Sami culture and history.
16.00 Return back to Tromsø city centre and check in at Scandic Ishavs hotel or similar.
Optional: Northern Lights Dinner Cruise in the evening – departure at 20.00. (Supplement, not
included)
Day 6 TROMSØ – OSLO AIRPORT GARDERMOEN
Enjoy breakfast.
*Taxi transfer from the hotel to airport for departure to Oslo Airport Gardermoen.
