DAY 1 | Sunday 17 April | Departure Day

11.30 am: Departure with Delta Airlines from Fort Lauderdale to Amsterdam via Atlanta.

 

Day 2 | Monday 18 April 2022 | Arrival Day

05.55 am: Arrival in Holland and private transfer from Schiphol Airport to hotel in The Hague

1/2-day Private guided tour The Hague (outside Inner Court, Hall of Knights, Noordeinde Palace, historical center, etc.)

Attending a hearing/sitting at the International Criminal Justice -> NOTE: not possible to reserve a place in advance

Hearings consist of a series of presentations by agents and counsel for the parties, lasting from a few minutes to several hours. Readings of the Court’s decisions can take between one and three hours.

Presentations on the work of the International Criminal Justice

The Information Department offers presentations to groups of between 10 and 70 people covering the history, workings and activities of the Court. They last approximately one hour. Presentations are available in English & French and are free of charge. No presentations are given during public hearings/sittings of the Court, or at weekends. -> requests must be submitted at least six weeks in advance

Day 3 | Tuesday 19 April 2022 | The Hague & Rotterdam

Morning: Private 2 hours tour at the International Criminal Court / ICC (the group needs to register online: https://visit.icc-cpi.int)

Guided visits to the ICC premise last around two hours and are led by Staff if the Court. The programme includes a visit though the Visitors Center followed by a presentation on the mandate and current activities of the Court. Presentations are held in the working languages of the ICC, English and French.

Private transfer from hotel to Rotterdam and back

Short stop at the Peace Palace to visit the visitors center on the way to Rotterdam

Lunch in Rotterdam

Private guided walking tour Rotterdam (2 hours)

Session with local attorney or sit a hearing (this normally will be in Dutch though) at the Court of Rotterdam

Dinner in Rotterdam & transfer back to hotel in The Hague

Day 4 | Wednesday 20 April 2022 | Countryside (Zaanse Schans - windmills, wooden shoes, cheese & Voldendam fishermen's village)

Day 5 | Thursday 21 April 2022 | Amsterdam

Private transfer from hotel to Amsterdam and back

Visit of Anna Franks Museum

Visit of the Royal Palace Amsterdam with audio tour (Di-Zon open: 10-17:00 hr)

Dinner in Amsterdam

Day 6 | Friday 22 April 2022 | Departure Day

Private transfer from hotel to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport for your KLM flight to Oslo, Norway at 9.20 am

11.05 am: Arriving at Oslo and transfer to Comfort Hotel Grand Central centrally located in downtown Oslo.

2 hour guided walking tour including welcome dinner at a popular restaurant.

 

Day 7 | Saturday 23 April 2022

Full day sightseeing in Oslo including lunch.

Highlights are the Viking Museum, Kontiki RA exhibits, royal Castle, Akershus Fortress, and the famous Vigeland Sculpture Park.

Dinner at the hotel.

 

Day 8 | Sunday 24 April 2022

Leisure time and possible a lecture in Norwegian Law at the hotel.

Lunch included!

 

Day 9 | Monday 25 April 2022

Transfer to the airport for our return flight to the US with KLM and Delta at 9.20 am.

8.53 pm arrival in FLL.
